The Spirit or Ghost 👻 is an elusive and powerful force believed to be aware, capable of interaction, communication, and even free movement. The Spirit of Ecstasy (a goddess of the road) is the hood ornament, or bonnet mascot, of all Rolls-Royce cars, designed by British sculptor Charles Sykes in 1911.
Rolls-Royce names its cars, such as the Ghost, after supernatural, otherworldly, or ghostly figures to convey a sense of mystery, refinement, and allure, a tradition that began with the iconic Silver Ghost in 1907.
