Have you ever been to Tulum? Tulum holds a special place in my heART and has ever since the first time I came here. One of the things that Interested me in exploring Tulum was The Art, The Bujuco Architecture, The Tacos and the Hospitality of the town.
The first time I came to Tulum I was introduced to Daniel Popper’s (@danielpopper) Iconic statue located in @ahautulum called “Ver a la luz" which translates to "to see the light", but it has deeper meanings like "to come into existence," "to be released", or "to finally understand/realize something" (like seeing the light at the end of the tunnel),
Standing 10 meters tall, this wood and rope female figure opens her chest to reveal a lush garden, symbolizing the profound connection between humanity and nature.
I fell so in ❤️ with Tulum the first visit that I booked a trip a month later to return again. On that trip I met a beach vendor by the name of Miguel @aluxtonatzin who hand makes unique little elementals and fantasy fairies, and teaches workshops about the elementals and the elements of nature: Earth, wind, water, fire and air, The vitals of life.
Miguel combines craftsmanship, symbolic storytelling, and the creation of unique elemental experiences in each of his characters he brings to life. He is known in Tulum as “The Elf Father”. 
Three years later, I have returned again for a December to be remembered In Tulum and to celebrate a fresh start to a new year in 2026!
This new piece is the first honor of the iconic artists in Tulum who have inspired & made me say WOW with their creations! Thank You, Daniel and Miguel for all you do to make Tulum a magical ✨ place for those who live and visit here!! My heart and my art is so grateful. I wish you mucho happiness and success in 2026 and beyond!
